Good morning parents! We have some great things going on this week at Gulf Coast Charter Academy South! The Kindergarten classes are collecting canned foods for the Salvation Army, the class that fills the most boxes gets a free pizza party! The Girl Scout troop is collecting canned cat food for the Humane Society, if you are able to contribute, please send to school with your student! Thank you. Planners are for sale in the school office - these help keep your student organized and on task, the price is $4.50. Interim Reports went home last Wednesday, if you have not already, please review these with your student, sign them and return them to school. Spirit week is next week, keep yours eyes peeled for information regarding Spirit Week! Friday, October 11th is a half day, 11:40 dismissal. Friday, October 18th students do not have school. See the calendar on www.gccas.org for more information. We are starting some great science projects in the next couple of weeks through the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Model, using the Scientific Method! I look forward to another great month at GCCAS.
